The Purpose Behind Our Passion
The NGO Committee on Sustainable Development-NY is a 501.c3 tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization that is focused on raising awareness to support the success of the UN2030 Sustainable Development Agenda with the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are global in nature and universally applicable, taking into account local communities. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for the 2024 UN Summit of the Future to produce the Pact for the Future supporting accelerating inclusive actions for the SDGs to “Leave No One Behind.”

UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are a call to action to end poverty, protect our planet, and ensure all people live in a culture of peace and economic prosperity.
Disaster Risk Reduction
We are working in partnership with leading experts and organizations to support people and communities to receive the resources needed for recovery following the impacts of natural disasters and post-conflict areas.

Through our programs we promote and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and the dissemination of information on sustainable development issues with meetings, webinars and events for the NGO community and to the general public to raise awareness toward an action plans and agendas.
OCEAN PARTNERSHIP RESOURCES
We are proud to continue our Partnership with UN/Friends of World Ocean Day/Month. Our focus is to bring together with our Honorary Advisors and other stakeholders from all sectors and regions to support global projects for a clean and sustainable ocean.
The Pohana Fund & Women’s Empowerment
Our women leaders from all regions are addressing gender equality, ending violence against women & children, ending FGM, equal pay, health and climate justice. This includes the Pohana Fund with education initiatives and entrepreneurship for sustainable economic communities. Women & Girls' Leadership & Empowerment: Raising Awareness of Human Trafficking & Ending FGM & Violence Against Women including CEDAW.
Sustainable Consumption Solutions
We are increasingly focusing on sustainable consumption solutions to minimize environmental impact and meet growing consumer demand for eco-friendly products.
SDG Education Alliance
Our initiative supports building a partnership alliance that is inclusive with outreach to all regions. We focus on advocacy, quality curricula development and other modalities to promote an action agenda with an understanding of the SDGs for all education levels.
Global Youth Leadership Council
We invite youth from all regions to join us in forming strategic partnerships to develop opportunities including entrepreneurial engagement to support global inter-generational initiatives related to the SDGs.
Refugee & Immigration Resource Initiatives
We proudly join forces with our colleagues and partners in various regions to support positive impactful solutions and assistance for refugees and migrants
Climate Action Initiatives
Through collaboration with our leading experts and colleagues we are supportive of programs and, advocacy to promote climate action agendas for local communities globally. This includes our Climate Reality Project Leaders and mentors with the NGOCSD-NY.
